Krakow is the epicentre of Polish craft. The scene detonated around 2011-2015 with brands like Pinta, AleBrowar and Nepomucen, and the city became the tap-room capital of Central Europe. Today the map splits cleanly: the Old Town (Rynek Główny, Szewska, Floriańska) stacks the tap-bar heavyweights, and Kazimierz — the former Jewish quarter — is where the atmosphere lives, with courtyards, brick cellars and a dense craft cluster around Św. Is Krakow good for craft beer?

Yes — arguably the best city in Poland. Density in the Old Town + Kazimierz is on par with Prague, cheaper, more Polish micros.

Old Town or Kazimierz?

Do both. Start Old Town in the afternoon (C.K. Browar, Multi Qlti, House of Beer), walk 15 min south to Kazimierz for the evening (Stara Zajezdnia, Weźże Krafta, Craftownia).

When do bars open?

Most craft bars open 14-15h and go to midnight, Fri/Sat until 2h. Sundays a bit quieter but everything runs.

Is it expensive?

Cheap by EU craft standards. Half-litre Polish craft: 15-22 PLN (≈4-5 €). Cards accepted everywhere.
